Not that there’s anything wrong with that bandwagon. In fact when I first read Whimzie’s post about it I was very excited and worried I was already too far behind. But that was Sunday and Monday brought a plethora (cool word!) of study opportunities and one mustn’t over-extend oneself or one set’s oneself up for failure (something that comes easily enough in these situations.)
(oh, come on- laugh a little!)
So here are my Bible study plans for the new year. I hope the accountability that so many of you who are on the bandwagon are talking about will still apply.
- Bible Study Opportunity #1: my bffe –that’s bff east; I’m lucky enough to have TWO very good friends- one who lives in the eastern part of the state and one who lives quite near me (two houses down) in the western part of the state. Anyway, bffe Brenda and I have agreed to do a Bible study by phone. We’re tackling Cynthia Heald’s Becoming a Woman of Freedom and talking each Monday evening. I’m very excited both about the Bible study and the chance to get to study with Brenda again.
- Bible Study Opportunity #2: I may or may not have mentioned that Jack has been asked to pilot a test group for some new Royal Ambassador literature that he helped to write. His new group starts meeting tonight and since we don’t want our girls to be left out of such a great learning and growing opportunity, I started a little (four girls) female version of the group last night. Emma is especially excited about this –she’s wanted to be an RA forever.
- And Bible Study Opportunity #3 (I hope): bffw? LeAndra? Are y’all out there? Are we still meeting on Thursdays? Are we ever gonna do the chocolate study? Hello? One?
