I thought since I hit the bonanza at the library this week I’d share what’s on the menu:
Yesterday (on my Mental Health Day!!!) I finished BoneMan’s Daughters by Ted Dekker. I’m not always a fan of Dekker, but I did enjoy this one. I really appreciate how Dekker weaves the characteristics of God into a story without getting preachy.
So then I moved on to Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. It’s starting out pretty edgy. This is the first time I’ve read Flynn, but so far so good!
Next on the list are the first two Dexter books by Jeff Lindsay (also a first time read) and then it’s on to some Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child action. Obviously avoiding filling my mind with violence and mayhem is not at the top of my list when racing through the library.
It’s a bloody week at the Smallwood residence so whiney children and husbands beware!
